Riverview is an unincorporated census-designated place in Hillsborough County, Florida, United States. It is located south of Brandon. The population was 71,050 in the 2010 census, up from 12,035 in the 2000 census.

Riverview is said to be one of the oldest settlements in the state, which was founded along the banks of the Alafia River. The river was called the “River of Fire” by early settlers because it used to glow at night due to the phosphorus found in its waters. Now Riverview belongs to Hillsborough County and is a stone’s throw away from Tampa Bay. Riverview is home to Bell Creek Nature Preserve. Just 10 miles from Tampa, 23 miles to St. Petersburg, and 74 miles to Orlando, you’ll remain close to the conveniences, great attractions, restaurants, and services the area has to offer.
